Recent Thoughts
I want to show how the system of public funding for compulsory education in postwar Japanese society was tied to the Japanese concept of “equal opportunities for education” by examining the way postwar educational policy became institutionalized. Focusing on the (admittedly broad) issue of the formative processes of the postwar educational system, my aim is to expand my research to clarify, from a comparative sociological perspective, the conditions under which postwar Japanese society took shape, taking topics such as labor turnover into consideration as well.
