Recent Thoughts
Having been trained as a medievalist, I have worked exclusively on medieval canon law in the High Middle Ages, especially textual problems of its sources. To understand its historical significance more profoundly, I have recently enlarged my field of research to late antiquity (4-6 centuries), paying particular attention to one of the most important church fathers, St. Augustine, and his influence on the making of medieval canon law.
